About BEC Builders, Inc.

Brian Crill

Brian Crill, the president of the company, began his construction career after moving to Hawaii in 1986. By working hands-on in various trades such as foundation work, framing, finish carpentry, pipe fitting, and painting he learned about the building process from start to finish.  After ten years of honing his skills, he was offered a finish carpentry position with a large federal contractor. Brian completed many federal military construction projects including building the Distinguished Visitor’s Quarters for then President Clinton, and Four Star Admiral Clemins’ private quarters.

Upon moving back to Santa Barbara in 1999, Brian continued with a hands-on approach to building, remodeling and finish carpentry for dozens of high-end custom homes in Santa Barbara and Montecito. Each project is personal for Brian, drawing on his passion, extensive knowledge, and eye for detail. He manages each project on a daily basis and demands the highest standard of quality and safety from his supervisors, subcontractors and in-house framing and finish crews. From jobsite safety and organization to his good neighbor program, every project is handled as if Brian were building his own home. BEC Builders’ reputation for the finest finish work is a direct result of Brian’s experience, eye for detail and training of his team of finish carpenters. Behind the scenes, BEC Builders has an office staff of seasoned veterans running an elite system of contracts, invoicing and budget tracking.
